On November 3, Andrew Croft of Open Doors came and shared the mission and message, “Open Doors: Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide (Luke 22:31-34).” Andrew Croft shares Jesus’ warning that Satan seeks to “sift us like wheat.” We can endure these trials and tests because Jesus promises us that He will pray for us. Andrew Croft similarly challenges the congregation to come alongside the persecuted church and pray for and with them. We need to stand side-by-side with the persecuted church because we are all one body. We all need to be praying.

Johnnie Moore describes how his encounter with persecuted Christians has transformed his faith. He shares several incredible stories about Christians living in nations hostile to Christianity, who are facing persecution and even death for what they believe. For Johnnie, these people are just like the early Christians described in the book of Acts.
He believes Christians in the west tend to lean more toward self-preservation and comfort, rather than the self-sacrifice message of the Bible. And he urges Christians in the west to learn about their persecuted fellow believers, to pray for them and give generously to ministries that are helping Christians in need around the world.
